using UPDATE returns error:Field does not accept null values

Postby yagihito » Wed Jan 25, 2017 12:19 am

I’m trying to copy the va_this_ye from a V-AUX2001 in to the current V-AUX va_last_ye with this statement:
UPDATE 'C:\DDMS\W1\V-AUX.dbf' SET VA_LAST_YE = (SELECT VA_THIS_YE FROM 'C:\DDMS\W1\V-AUX2011.dbf' WHERE 'V-AUX.keys' = 'V-AUX2011.keys' and NOT EMPTY('V-AUX2011.VA_THIS_YE'))

This is the data…

I have not been able to get past this error "Field VA_LAST_YE does not accept null values."

I’ve tried plugging in .00 or .0 in the current year file and also replacing any blanks in the previous year file with .00. Still no luck!

DBF Commander Free doesn't support UPDATE statement. Please use DBF Commander Professional version instead.
