DBF Commander on a restricted system

Postby somethingsimil » Tue Aug 05, 2014 10:59 pm

Is it possible to have a portable version of DBF commander? One that does not use the registry or require installation or admin rights to install/run.

I have a few clients who have terminal server systems that prevent me from running DBF Commander. Installations are only allowed by admin, and running it seems to be blocked (I'm guessing due to registry access).

1. You're violating the EULA by installing Single User distributive on multiple PCs. You should either have a Single User License for every workstation you're installing DBF Commander on, or purchase the Site License.
2. No, it's impossible to have a portable version, since DBF Commander have a DLL that must be registered in the OS.

Ok, thanks - appreciate the response.

BTW, I was not violating EULA, I was just testing it out on a machine I was trying to migrate data out of before we retire it.
